Alcohol is dangerous to You pregnant Mothers Nile Breweries officials Speak out.

In an effort to save the lives of unborn babies, Nile Breweries in partnership with KCCA have started a campaign of sensitizing pregnant mothers about the dangers of drinking alcohol during pregnancy.
Speaking during the launch of the campaign at the Naguru Hospital, the Hospital Director Dr. Nadumba Edward says it’s dangerous for pregnant women to drink alcohol because it may not end up affecting them as the mothers, it will affect the life of the unborn baby.
He adds that many of the babies whose mothers drunk a lot of alcohol ends up with retarded brains, others with heart problems and others are born in unhealthy state.
On this note, the Head of the Hospital’s Maternity Department Dr. John Wanyama says the effect of alcohol on an unborn baby does not stop on pregnant mothers drinking but also the fathers should be very careful about over drinking.
The Sustainable Development Manager Nile Breweries Ronald Mayanja says the purpose of the campaign is to ensure that people drink responsibly.
