ALAM Group boss arrested over evicting land owners

Ebert Byenkya the lead counsel of the Land probe has confirmed the arrest of Alarm group boss Alarm Abid over his continuous efforts to evict land owners in Mubende.

 This after the land probe got credible information that Abid Alarm had deployed armed men and goons with Machetes and clubs to evict residents off Nalutuntu village in Bukoba Mubende district yet the matter is still under investigation by the land probe.

Byenkya has told us that the commission feels that, Abid who appeared before the land probe last week has committed an offence and his file has been sent to the DPP for advice and further prosecution.

Abid is now detained at Wandegeya police station awaiting prosecution for obstruction of justice among other many offences.
