Aged mothers should be attended to by agemates – President Mothers Union

The President of Uganda Mother’s Union Josephine Kasaato says that mature and aged mothers should be attended to by agemates when they go to hospital instead of being served by young male doctors.

Kasaato raised this concern while addressing women under the Christian Mother’s Union while at the Orthodox Church in Kampala.

She says that its embarrassing to some mothers when they access hospitals and get attended to by youthful male Doctors instead of their agemates adding that this has threatened some mothers from attending to medical care due to embarrassments especially when it comes to checking breast and cervical cancer.

Other mothers added a voice to this concern saying that sometimes they would love to check for various diseases but they don’t feel free to the youthful medical attendants.
