Police arrest 2 Unemployed youths protesting against Parliament’s EC reform proposals.
Police in Kampala have arrested two
people taking part in a protest against
a parliamentary committee’s decision
to push the proposals submitted for
the Constitutional Amendment Bill
2015 to the next parliament. The
Legal and Parliamentary Affairs
Committee had called for the
establishment of a constitutional
review commission to look into the
proposals saying it did not have time.
Robin Waburembo and Simon Wanyera
were part of the National Association
of the Unemployed group that
marched from Wandegeya to the
Independence Monument. They were
taken to the Central Police Station.
