Government of Uganda has signed an agreement with that of Saudi Arabia to streamline the working conditions of migrant Uganda workers in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates have of late branded themselves as torture points for migrant Uganda workers from Uganda. According to Muruli Mukasa the Minister for Gender Labor and social development, the signed agreement will guarantee the protection of rights and promotion of welfare of Ugandans working abroad, and with a minimum wage, health insurance among others.
He said this while speaking to journalists at the Uganda media centre in Kampala.
