Mbabazi against NRM’s policy of stopping some members from registering
Former Secretary General of National Resistance Movement (NRM) Amama Mbabazi has said that what the party is doing to stop some members of the party from registering is a misunderstanding of the law. While addressing journalists at the party headquarters in Kyaddondo on Monday, NRM Secretary General Kasule Lumumba said that all members, including rebel MPs, who were expelled from the party will not be allowed to register. Mbabazi, who fell out with the ruling party, was speaking before members of the NRM Poor Youth who paid a courtesy visit to the former prime minister’s home on Tuesday morning. The youth also presented yello t-shirts with inscribed messages urging the Kinkizi west Member of Parliament to stand for presidency in 2016. The youth led by their National Coordinator Richard Kirekyankuba this morning handed Mbabazi a yellow t- shirt labeled number ‘10’, a symbol to mean that he should be the tenth Ugandan president.
